Did you know the average cost to breed a French Bulldog is roughly $8000?
Frenchie’s have slim hips which makes it very difficult, if not nearly impossible for them to reproduce naturally like a normal dog. Not to mention, they have a few specific unique needs to be met unlike other breeds.
What are those needs?
· C-sections– used to remove puppies from the uterus only done by a license and professional vet doctor.
· How much does a C-section cost? Anywhere from $2500 to $5000
· Artificial insemination – used to impregnate a female dog. This could be done at home but if you don't have the experience to do so then it could cost you anywhere from $300 to $500
· Stud: If you don’t own a male then you need to pay for a stud service which could be anywhere from $1800 to $5000 depending on stud structure, gene or colors.
On top of, vet bills, X-rays, sonogram, high-quality foods, and housing just adds to the cost of breeding French Bulldogs.
It requires a lot of time, effort, and money to breed happy and healthy Frenchie’s– there’s no other way to put it: breeding French Bulldogs is a full-time job.
